MECHANICAL INDUSTRY

Metal cutting is one of the most common and widely used processes in the mechanical industry.  Metal cutting involves cutting a shape into a metal blank.  Once cut, a machine grinds excess off the metal blank to accurately obtain proper surface quality.  During the process of metal cutting, the friction will produce a large amount of heat, so cutting fluid is used to reduce friction and temperature.  High temperature may cause wear on the  blanks and is undesirable.  Cutting fluid can also eliminate rust.

Since cutting fluid contains large amounts of surface active agents such as dispersants, wetting agents, emulsifiers, detergents, and strong foaming agents.  The high flow rate during the metal cutting process results in high foaming properties and a loss of cutting fluid.  Defoamer needs to be added to the cutting fluid to reduce costs and improve processes conditions.  SIXIN recommend X-35C.
