Mineral Oil Defoamer

Mineral oil defoamers were the universal standard until the early 1990’s when silicone took over, but it many applications silicone based defoamer is undesirable. Surface defects caused by silicone defoamers in many solvent and water based coatings are avoided by using a high quality mineral oil defoamer.

OIl Based Water Extended Defoamer

Emulsifying water in an oil based defoamer offers a strong economic benefit for processes in which foam is present but easily treated. The performance of the oil defoamer is maintained with reduced active concentration. If your driving force for defoamer replacement is cost related, or if you want to see less oil carryover in your system, this is a great option.
