Polyether Defoamer

Modified Alcohols

Modified alcohol defoamers are cloud point antifoams that become highly dispersible in water at certain temperatures. The solubility of the defoamer is inverse to what is typically exhibited with most products, becoming less soluble as the temperature rises. Unlike an emulsion, there is no reduction in activity in the event of an emulsion break, so the longevity of the polyether is superior. High temperature paper machines (brown paper) use these highly efficient products.

Glycol Polymers

Glycol polymers are similar in property to the modified alcohol defoamers but comply with more food grade applications. The controlling of stubborn foam in leachate, sugar fermentation, and construction slurries are a few of the diverse industries that require the unique properties of the glycol polyether defoamer.
