Drilling Fluids

Natural gas which escapes from underground during drilling can cause foam in the drilling fluid. Surfactants used in the drilling mud can stabilize the foam and negatively affect the suspension system. For water based or oil based drilling muds, SIXIN has your answer.

Oil/Gas/Water Separators

Oil underground is under a very high pressure and dissolved gases lay hidden until they are brought into the separators. Once pressure is released, the gas is revealed and produces significant foaming issues inside the separator. Whether you extract heavy or light crude, a proper defoamer dosed into the separator needs to control the dynamic foam produced during extraction. SIXIN has a range of products to keep on site to control these sensitive processes.

Delayed Coking

Furnaces which heat residual oil up to 500*C and crack it to release and process valuable raw materials often contain surfactants that cause foam inside the coker. Due to the highly extreme conditions and risk of silicone degradation affecting the HDS catalyst, SIXIN has created a proprietary formulation to reduce these effects and provide stability to the process while extending the downstream life of the important processing materials.
